A short explanation of how Freestyle Systems came from invention and first-principles thinking — and why STB Theory is hosted here.
Freestyle Systems exists because of invention—solving real problems through engineering, first-principles thinking, and real-world design.
Its founder, Michael “Blair” Hopper, comes from a hands-on mechanical background and has spent decades developing robust mechanisms and systems used in professional environments.
In 2003, Blair invented the Freestylist®, a patented mechanical system that makes professional hair dryers feel virtually weightless while stylists work—reducing fatigue, improving ergonomics, and eliminating cord tangles. The Freestylist was built around an original spring-mechanism and connector system designed specifically for salon use and long-term reliability.
But alongside applied engineering, Blair has also spent much of his life thinking about a deeper question:
Why does anything exist at all?
Since his late teens, he has explored a framework he now calls STB Theory (Spacetime Bubble Theory)—a model proposing that matter, forces, and physical structure arise from stable curvature formations in spacetime.
In 2025–2026, Blair began formally documenting STB Theory into a structured written work, with supporting diagrams and technical drafts. This STB section is hosted here to provide a public, time-stamped archive of the work as it evolves.
