Traditional Lighting
-
Traditional incandescent and halogen bulbs are not ideal for accurate hair color perception. They emit excessive infrared light, leading to a reddish tint in hair appearance. Moreover, their heat production can contribute to increased air conditioning costs.
-
Did you know that using fifteen 100-watt light bulbs consumes as much energy as running a high-powered hair dryer at maximum settings continuously?
Not all LEDs are created equal
- Our LEDs are meticulously designed with specific Kelvin (color temperature) settings tailored for salon use, ensuring they accurately showcase skin and hair colors.
- LEDs available at typical 'box stores' are often optimized for applications where color or appearance aren't critical.
Tips for choosing color temperature of the bulb (Kelvin) based on the salon application:
• Opt for 3000K (Kelvin) bulbs when illuminating your client's face, enhancing their complexion.
• Select 3500K bulbs for lighting your client's hair, as it provides the ideal Kelvin for accurate hair color representation.
Tips for choosing beam angle based on ceiling height for PAR30 & PAR20 bulbs:
- Use 60° beam angle for low ceilings(7-9 feet)
- Use 40° beam angle for ceilings (9-10 feet)
- Use 25° beam angle for high ceilings (10-16 feet)
